What a nice neighbor you are to help a found dog go home! Most lost dogs live nearby. That is why you must put up found posters in your neighborhood. Don't wait to see a lost flyer. Not everyone knows how to make a lost flyer or to post their lost dog online. Or maybe the lost flyer is somewhere you are not seeing it. NEVER assume an owner is not looking or does not care because you don't see a lost flyer. Lost Dogs of Texas exists because there are so many missed connections between the person who lost the dog and the person who found the dog.
Look on the menu above for tips. Here is one now, join NextDoor.com and post the flyer we will send you. Many dogs go home simply because the Good Sam posted our flyer on NextDoor.
Our non-profit partner PetFBI not only provides you with a free flyer, but your dog will be placed in the largest lost and found database in the country.

There has been a sense in this country that dogs in shelters need homes. We are working hard to change that mindset. Found dogs don't need a home. Found dogs need to go home!

We want rescues and shelters to see that the dogs they find are not all unwanted, but many are fiercely loved and their families just need help to find them.
Seeing a need for nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization in 2012 to help lost dogs go home. We are an all volunteer group that makes Texas families whole again by reuniting
owners with their lost dogs.
We focus on getting lost dogs home and educating the public on how to keep their dogs safe. We believe most found dogs don't need a home, they need to go home!
We use donations to fund projects like free microchip events to help get lost and found dogs home. Sometimes we help with redemption fees or with expenses associated with helping people find their lost dogs. We have expenses associated with our website and our outreach to provide help to people who have lost dogs. We do not pay ourselves. We are all volunteers who provide our services for free. Your donation is tax deductible as we are a 501c3.
